Brendon Small, an imaginative eight-year-old, navigates life through his passion for filmmaking, enlisting friends Jason and Melissa to star in his countless homemade movies. Although his parents are divorced, Brendon finds comfort in the fact that many of his peers share similar family dynamics. In contrast, Jason grapples with the discontent of having parents who remain together. Meanwhile, Brendon’s soccer lessons are guided by the eccentric coach John McGuirk, whom he affectionately refers to as "that weird Irish guy." The series blends humor and heartfelt moments, showcasing the trials of childhood creativity and friendship.
