In 2138, virtual reality gaming reaches new heights, but the beloved online game Yggdrasil unexpectedly shuts down. One dedicated player, Momonga, opts to remain logged in, only to find himself morphed into a powerful skeletal wizard. As the game world evolves, NPCs begin to exhibit emotions, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. Lacking any familial ties or social connections, Momonga embarks on a quest to dominate this transformed realm, navigating challenges and forging alliances as he seeks to establish his legacy in this new existence.
