Superb Song of the Valkyries: Symphogear (2012)
During a live performance by the idol duo Zwei Wing, a sudden assault by an alien entity called the Noise disrupts the concert. Tsubasa Kazanari and Kanade Amou don their Symphogear armor to combat the threat, but tragedy strikes when Hibiki Tachibana is mortally harmed. In a heroic act, Kanade sacrifices herself to save Hibiki, leaving Tsubasa devastated. Fast forward two years, Hibiki has survived and Tsubasa fights alone against the growing Noise menace. Fate intertwines their paths again as Hibiki is offered the chance to wield the very Symphogear Kanade once possessed.
